Friends of the Michael Schwartz Library
The Friends of the Michael Schwartz Library is an independent organization which works closely with the Library. Through programs, gifts, and community engagement, the Friends support and advocate for the Michael Schwartz Library and recognition of its importance to Cleveland State University and the broader community.
Programs
The Friends sponsor programs of interest to faculty, students, alumni, and the general public.
Community connection
Friends activities encourage continuing social and intellectual interaction between the University and the community.

The Friends encourage monetary and in-kind gifts that strengthen collections, services, and special initiatives.

About the Friends
The Friends of the Michael Schwartz Library at Cleveland State University is closely associated with the Michael Schwartz Library but is an independent organization whose purpose is to support the Library in a number of different ways.
By sponsoring programs of interest to faculty, students, alumni, and the general public, the Friends help attract favorable attention for the Library and encourage interest in its activities. These programs also provide continuing social and intellectual interaction between the University and the community.

Support for the Library
The Friends encourage both monetary gifts and in-kind gifts to the Library, particularly special collections materials with links to the Cleveland area. Gift books may be added to the MSL collection, sold at our popular book sale fund raisers, or donated to other organizations.
